For weaned piglets up to 30 kg, it is sensible to have part of the flooring surface out of concrete. Concrete prevents the hoofs growing too long and therefore prevents health problems.
For weaned piglets up to 30 kg, it is sensible to have part of the flooring surface out of concrete. Concrete prevents the hoofs growing too long and therefore prevents health problems. The plastic supports are 52 mm deep. To make sure the piglets cannot lift a plastic slat out of the floor, the concrete slat needs to lie a little higher than the plastic slats. Thus, the concrete has to be ca. 60 mm high. For every concrete element of 500 x 600 mm, you need four support elements (two on each side). Assembling is exactly the same as the Poly Pro Slats.
