This mechanical hatch opens automatically when the straight scraper reaches it. Triangular springs welded to the ends of the scraper’s outer flaps lift the hatch, keeping the route accessible while safely covering the discharge point.
For reliable operation, the hatch must be wider than the scraper in its fully open position.
