Feeder Q10 is an automated feeding station that adjusts each gilt’s ration according to body weight, backfat thickness and planned insemination date. The station handles up to 20 animals and is suitable for dry feed in crumble or pellet form.
1. Collecting the right data
Backfat thickness (ELD), body weight and the planned insemination date are entered into the connected software. These measurements provide the basis for calculating each animal’s nutritional requirements.
2. Automatic ration calculation
The algorithm calculates the appropriate ration for every gilt. If an animal has not finished its feed over the previous days, or if the room temperature becomes too low, the system automatically adjusts the allocated quantity.
3. Targeted feeding and optimisation
Each gilt receives a ration matched to her development and planned insemination. This supports a more uniform group, helps reduce early culling and makes day-to-day feed management more efficient.
